Each worship service at the Crafton Heights Church is taped for the convenience of our members and those unable to attend worship.
1. We welcome Bob Cichra as our guest musician today . We are grateful for Bob's presence with us today. Bob was our organist and choir director for many years, and was instrumental (pun intended) in the selection and installation of our current organ. Bob and his wife, Linda, have three children and now live in Renfrew , PA.
2. Please join us after the service this morning in the conference room for cake and punch. We will join Bill & Fay Reynolds who recently celebrated their 60 th Wedding Anniversary.
3. Volunteers are needed to help fold the Open Door newsletter at 7pm on Thursday, July 10 th at 7pm. If you have any questions, please see Adam Robinson . Thanks in advance for your help!!
4. A Touch of Africa – A benefit for Hekima Place - On Saturday, July 12 th , from 7PM to 9PM, Bower Hill will be hosting a party to benefit Hekima Place , a home for girls in Kenya . We will have a market of Fair Trade crafts from Africa which will all be 10% off the marked price. We will have African desserts and teas and coffees for you to sample before and after a performance and demonstration of African drumming and dancing by the Guinea-West Africa Drum and Dance Ensemble and we will end the evening with an African storyteller. A representative from Hekima Place (hopefully Kate) will also be there to answer any questions. A free-will offering will be taken to support Hekima Place . We'll see you there.
5. Please join the women next Sunday, July 13 th 11:15 am for bible study and lunch in the conference room. The topic is: Above and Beyond: Hearing God's Call in Jonah and Ruth . All women are welcome.
