Each worship service at the Crafton Heights Church is recorded (cassette & CD) for the convenience of our members and those unable to attend worship. If you would like a copy of today’s service, or any recent service, please call the office at 412-921-6153. Printed copies of the Sermon are also available on the shelves in the back of the sanctuary and on the web at: www.chup.org (an audio file of the sermon is also available at that site).
1. Each Wednesday in Lent (continuing through March 24), we will have a pot-luck supper at 6 and a Bible Study at 7. The Bible Study will include a few moments of opening worship through song, a chance to discuss the readings of the week, and time in prayer. This is an intergenerational event, and parents and children are encouraged to attend together. If young children are too distracted, the baby/toddler care room will be available. We will finish each week no later than 8 pm. Please take a devotional booklet from the rear of the sanctuary.
2. The colorful blankets in the front of the sanctuary are a reminder to be in prayer for our team of 8 adults working on the US/Mexico border. They are working in partnership with Puentes de Cristo and the Methodist Border Friendship Commission. The team returns on Saturday, March 13.
3. While Pastor Dave is with the team in Texas/Mexico, if you have any pastoral emergencies please call the church office. In an emergency, contact the Rev. Mark Whitsel at 412-787-1818
4. The 5th Annual Ron Barth Memorial Bowl-A-Thon was a huge success! We had a total of 93 bowlers and raised $4,285. All of that money will go directly towards The Open Door’s programming. Thank you to everyone that bowled, donated, and volunteered.
5. As in prior years, the Deacons will provide the opportunity for people to help decorate the sanctuary with a living symbol of the resurrection, Easter Lilies. Flowers may be given in memory of or in honor of a loved one. Please use the bulletin insert and return it by next Sunday, March 21st. Please use a separate form for each flower. Extra forms are available on the tables in the rear of the sanctuary. For more information or questions, please contact Marg Tranter at 412-921-5799.
6. Join State Rep. Dan Deasy at a town hall meeting in Ingram on March 11th. Discuss issues important to your community and hear how Rep. Deasy’s office can assist you with state-related matters. The meeting will be held at the Ingram Municipal building community room from 7pm to 8pm. Call 412-928-9514 for more information.

Church of Crafton Heights next Sunday, March 14 at 10:45 a.m. The purpose of this meeting will be to elect a Deacon to the class of 2011. Please plan to come to church a few moments early to allow the Deacons the chance to move forward in their ministries.
9. This Summer, the Youth Group anticipates a mission trip to the Rock Forge Neighborhood House in Morgantown, WV. This exciting ministry, where we served in the summer of 2004, provides resources to families and children in the coal mining communities of WV for nearly 50 years. To help raise funds to allow everyone to attend, we are having a Baked Potato Luncheon on Sunday, March 14. There are fliers in the back of the sanctuary – please plan to enjoy this meal and sponsor the kids.
10. Kids Klub will begin on Tuesday, March 16th and will continue every Tuesday for 6 weeks.
