In addition to being on the church website, all of Pastor Dave’s sermons are posted on his blog at www.castyournet.wordpress.com.
1. The congregation of the First U.P. Church of Crafton Heights will have its annual meeting on Wednesday, February 1 at 7 pm in the Fellowship Hall. The purpose of this meeting will be to receive the annual reports of the ministries of the congregation, to give thanks to God for those who have died in 2011, to elect a Nominating Committee for 2012, and to vote on proposed changes to the church’s By-Laws. Copies of the By-Laws, along with the proposed changes, are available in the rear of the sanctuary. Copies of the Annual Reports will be available next Sunday, January 29. If you would like a copy mailed to your home, please call the office. The meeting will be preceded by a pot-luck supper at 6 pm. Please plan to attend this important meeting.
2. On February 3rd, Brian Buckley will present a recital at CHUP at 8 pm. This is a part of Brian’s pursuit of his Master’s degree, and promises to be an amazing evening. Don’t’ miss it!
3. Please join us On February 9th at 6 pm as Dining With A Purpose celebrates the Shine campaign dedication with a hearty dinner guaranteed to warm you up on a cold winter night: roasted chicken, potatoes, veggies, a gourmet salad and a scrumptious dessert! A vegetarian option will also be available. All contributions will go to the Shine Campaign as we finish the renovations to the sanctuary including new carpeting, painting and lighting. Diners are asked to give a donation equal to what you would spend at a nice restaurant. Please let us know if you will be joining us so we can make enough food for everyone to enjoy.
4. Come join us at The Open Door’s 8th Annual Ronald Barth Memorial Bowl-A-Thon. Bowling will take place at Noble Manor Lanes Sunday, March 4th beginning at 1:30 p.m. Sign up to be a captain and find four other bowlers or as an individual and we will find a spot for you. Sign up sheets are located on the bulletin board by the CHUP main office. Please be aware of the new bowling alley location this year.
